We have a team of health professionals,
modelers, and statisticians to support human health risk assessment. We
apply appropriate risk assessment tools to support all phases of environmental
decision making, including
- calculation of site-specific risk-based screening
values and extensive experience in performing screening level risk
assessments,
- performance of human health risk assessments consistent
with applicable regulatory guidance,
- use of simple bounding analyses with
average and maximum exposure or probabilistic risk calculations to
support risk management decisions
and cost-benefit
analyses,
- analysis of relative risk associated with remedial
decision alternatives,
- application of a toolbox of contaminant transport
models (e.g., Multimed, MEPAS, HELP, RESRAD, MODFLOW, ArcInfo GRID,
HSSM,
USGS MOC) to support
the analysis of future risk scenarios, and
- development of project-specific contaminant transport
and risk models to support risk management decisions at complex sites.
We have also developed human
health risk assessment training. Example projects include the following.

Quantico Marine Corps Base

LANL Canyons Investigations

Chino Mine Project
