About Neptune and Company:

Neptune and Company is a small, growing consulting company, headquartered in Los Alamos, New Mexico, specializing in planning, design, and analysis of environmental data in support of decision making. Consulting expertise that we provide includes decision analysis and decision support services, statistical sampling design and planning for environmental data collection, a wide range of data analysis support, environmental risk assessment, quality assurance planning and assessment, and risk communication. Neptune and Company currently employs a multi-disciplinary team consisting of statisticians, decision analysts, environmental risk assessors, chemists, ecologists, and biologists to support a variety of government and private clients. Our company is interested in recruiting quality personnel who are motivated, resourceful, and energetic.

Technical Staff MemberS

Neptune and Company is looking for individuals with experience in natural sciences and/or quality systems. Neptune and Company, Inc., is a small business conducting consulting for government agencies, laboratories, and private clients.

Natural sciences: Individuals with a degree in natural sciences and approximately five years experience in one of the following areas are asked to apply:

• Environmental Science
• Analytical Chemistry
• Microbiology
• Biotechnology

Experience in data validation, auditing/assessment and database analysis (e.g., Access, Excel) is a plus. Neptune and Company, Inc, provides our clients expertise in planning for and analyzing environmental data, no laboratory work is involved.

Quality systems: We are seeking a Quality Systems Specialist with 5-10 years experience in an internal or external consulting environment. Must be experienced in the development, implementation, and assessment of Quality Systems for large and complex scientific/technical organizations. Must demonstrate direct experience in Quality System applications in one or more of the following specific areas:

• Environmental remediation technology
• Environmental monitoring
• Pharmaceuticals testing and manufacturing
• Information management system

Candidates should enjoy problem solving, have a self-starter attitude, and require minimal supervision. Superior oral and written communication skills are required for our consulting environment. Candidate should enjoy working directly with a variety of clients to address cutting-edge problems where “cookie-cutter” solutions are not available. Experience with business development is a plus.
