Neptune and Company, Inc.

Neptune and Company, Inc. was formed in 1992. We are an employee-owned, small business that specializes in facilitating informed decisions for a wide variety of problems. Our corporate headquarters are located in Los Alamos, New Mexico & Denver, Colorado, and we have expanded our presence across the US. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of biologists, ecologists, chemists, computer programmers, decision analysts, engineers, mathematicians, modelers, risk assessors, and statisticians to support a variety of government, and private clients.

PLANNING AND FACILITATION

We have extensive experience in the design and application of planning tools, such as the EPA's Data Quality Objectives (DQOs; which we helped design) process, to help our clients collect the 'right' type and amount of environmental and other data. We work with clients to develop cost-effective and technically defensible plans to meet project objectives via faciliatated planning processes and similar methods.

ANALYSIS

We help solve numerous types of difficult problems by bridging the gap between information (data, expert knowledge, etc.) and management decision options. We have technical expertise in database development and management, chemistry, decision analysis, modeling, quality assurance, risk assessment, statistics, toxicology.  We also construct user-friendly decision support systems and databases.

TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION

We have public involvement and communication experts who can assist project managers in communicating with members of the public, government regulators, and other interested parties. We also provide training in application of structured planning processes and are available to act as facilitators of planning meetings. We have led or contributed to multiple government expert panels and guidance documents.
